Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-8, 2015

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick, called truth. ~ Dan Rather

As this is teacher appreciation week, I wish to stop and thank each and every one of you, in all positions within the SU, for the work you do to teach our children. No matter the role you play, whether a classroom teachers, paraeducators, custodian, food service employees, support teachers and staff, admin assistants, administrators- each of you makes a difference in the lives of our kids every single day. Each of you create a climate where learning sparks and catches hold. Thank you.
Every  child you touch, through helping or talking or laughing or praising, will be affected by the time they spend with you.
I give you thanks on behalf of myself,  our parents, students, board members and community members. You make a difference.
“Seek opportunities to show you care. The smallest gestures often make the biggest difference.”
